Tynn Silk Mohair

57% mohair, 28% silk and 15% wool

Thin Silk Mohair is, as the name suggests, our thin variant of Silk Mohair and is a soft and luxurious mixture of the finest mohair, wool and silk. The yarn is thin and very difficult to use. If you knit Thin Silk Mohair with one or more threads, you get a light, airy and luxurious garment. If you use Thin Silk Mohair as a thread together with other qualities, you will get an exciting expression and good hold in every garment. 

Mohair is wool from the Angora goat. This is a goat breed that has long, silky, curly wool fibres. Ordinary wool has been added to give the yarn elasticity and volume. The silk is there for strength and shine at the same time as it holds the fibres when they are brushed up. This gives a soft, light and airy yarn with a shaggy expression

If washing in a machine, we recommend that all wool garments are washed separately on a wool program for the most gentle treatment. Spin well and dry the garment flat, preferably on top of a towel.
